Chrome OS has just launched Phone Hub, a terrific feature that links your Android phone to a Chromebook

Whether you've been holding off a Chromebook for CR-48 days or just picked up a great Chromebook in the past week, there's never been a better time to be a Chrome OS user, and as announced by Google, the Chromebook  The club continues to grow daily. On Chrome OS '10th birthday, Chromebooks now buy 10% of new desktop-class computers globally - and 20% in the United States.  For Chromebooks now have 8-9 years of updates from launch to support Windows via Linux, Android, and even Parallels, it is a little surprising that the Enterprise Chromebook released 60 during last year's epidemic  Saw the% growth rate when businesses were washing hands, go to the remote, and whether you're using a Chromebook for work, games, or both, Chrome OS 89 is coming with some new features, all of which people  Will be able to appreciate:

  Phone hub

The long-awaited feature is finally going out of beta with Chrome OS 89, allowing you to turn on instant tethering, don't disturb, and being able to keep your Chromebook unlocked for longer, as well as your phone  Can access recent Chrome tabs and notifications from.  As the phone is unlocked and connected via Bluetooth.  I have been using Phone Hub on my ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook for the past few weeks and the notification support is not as good as I would like it to be, it would be nice to have it available for all phones.  All Chromebooks.

Part of the pass

Nearby Share was added to Android last year, but now you can use it to send files from your phone to your Chromebook, as well, eliminating the need to email files or have them on Google Drive  Can sync through.  This is a small feature, but it is one that I am using a lot when I am photographing the world or sending memes to the apartment.

  Wi-Fi Sync

Another Android feature that jumps to Chrome OS with version 89 is Wi-Fi sync, which means you'll be able to put your password once on your Chromebook's nice big keyboard, and then sync that password to your phone.  So you don't have to put it again.  Although we are not really traveling as much as we usually do now, frequent travelers and couch-surfers will not be very appreciative of every new password arriving at a new destination.

  Native screen capture

This is another Chrome OS feature that has been around for a long time, and I can't wait for it to arrive.  This will add a screen capture shortcut in Quick Settings that you can either tap to take an accurate cropped screenshot or start a new screen recording so that you can show the developer how broken their app or website is.  You will be able to save these recordings to the cloud in your internal storage, or you can only share them immediately through the newly expanded clipboard or tort section.

Clipboard and "Tote" quick access section

The clipboard can now hold 5 recent copies instead of just one - can I get HALLELUJAH?  No?  - And you will be able to easily swap, which you want using Launcher + V.  If you have a launcher map like Caps Lock I does, it may eventually be worth inserting the launcher key by default.

Another way you'll be able to easily share files in emails or messages is the section next to Phone Hub and Quick Settings.  Remember the Rickets section of Windows File Explorer?  It is basically the same thing, but smaller and easier to pull.  Recently saved items will run through Tote, and you can also pin documents and files to Tote so that they are always in the works, you should share a Best Practice Guide about five times a day.

Chrome OS 89 will be out of Chromebook very soon, and I can't wait to test the awesome power of phone hubs and native screen recordings on many of my Chromebooks.  The next several weeks are also going to be important as more and more Chromebooks were announced at CES 2021 at the beginning of the year and BETT kept store shelves closed.

Which Chromebook has been your favorite over the past decade, and what features are you still waiting for to add Google to Chrome OS?  Let us know in the comments, and then let's find some birthday cupcakes that we can frost in the Chrome logo!
