OPPO promises at least a three-year security update for the X3 series

Oppo's Find X3 Pro is one of the best Android phones the company has released so far, with a stunning design and a stunning 120 Hz AMOLED display. To make it a better choice for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Oppo has now promised that the Find X3 Pro will get three years of software support.

Oppo confirmed from Dutch publication Android Planet that the Find X3 series phones will get an additional protection year. Although Oppo does not have a great track record for software support, most of its phones receive security patches for up to two years. The report suggests that the opposition is currently "testing" whether it would be feasible to extend software support for the X3 series by four years. Samsung is currently the only Android OEM that promises up to four years of security updates.

Unlike Samsung, however, it does not look like an Oppo plan to release more than two Android version upgrades for its best Android phones. Like its previous flagship, the Find X3 series will receive only two OS updates.

Get the X3 series launched with Android 11 out of the box, so they are guaranteed to get Android 12 and Android 13 updates.
